BARBARA BRADLEY HAGERTY
Hello, and welcome to my website, where I detail all of my accomplishments and none of my failings. To get a sense of the latter, you can read my first book, which was borne of a spiritual crisis: Fingerprints of God: The Search for the Science of Spirituality (Riverhead/Penguin, 2009). Happily, it briefly climbed onto the New York Times bestseller list. My human foibles and insecurities are catalogued in my second book: Life Reimagined: The Science, Art, and Opportunity of Midlife. This book sprung from a midlife crisis (or so I thought), and will be published by Riverhead/Penguin in March 2016.
Aside from these forays into book writing, most of my career has been spent in journalism. I was privileged to work at National Public Radio for 19 years, where, most recently, I reported on the intersection of faith and politics, law, science, and culture. I won a few awards, including the Gracie Award for Women in Radio and Television (twice), the National Headliners award, and the Religion Newswriters Association award for radio reporting.
